Utilisation et sources d'émission 1

  • Le DEET est l'ingrédient actif de plusieurs insectifuges (produits servant à éloigner les insectes) homologués, disponibles au Canada.
  • Ces insectifuges sont conçus pour prévenir les piqûres d'insectes chez les humains. Ils se présentent sous différentes formes (pulvérisateur, lotion, gel, lingette, ou crème). 
  • La concentration de DEET dans ces insectifuges est variable (5-30 %) et la durée de la protection dépend de cette concentration.
