L'hypochlorite de sodium anhydre n'est pas commercialement disponible puisqu'il est instable et très explosif.  L'hypochlorite de sodium est cependant largement utilisé sous forme de solution aqueuse, communément appelée « eau de Javel », stabilisé à pH alcalin et qu'on trouve, selon l'usage, à différentes concentrations, les solutions à 12 % étant les plus utilisées dans le secteur industriel. Consulter au besoin les produits suivants :

Solution aqueuse d'hypochlorite de sodium à 6 %

Solution aqueuse d'hypochlorite de sodium à 12 %
